What you should know about me..
Becoming a mum changed everything for me, not just in the way I cared for my son, but in how I understood the emotional weight of sleep deprivation.
When my son Knox was born, my husband returned to long firefighter shifts after just two weeks, and suddenly the nights were mine to navigate alone. I remember the exhaustion, the quiet of the night, and the feeling of carrying it all by myself. It gave me a completely new perspective ,not just professionally, but personally.
Before becoming a mum, I had already spent over ten years working with children as a Norland trained nanny, maternity nurse and primary school teacher. I had supported many families through sleep challenges, but living it myself brought a different level of empathy and understanding.
Around the same time, I experienced a bereavement, which altered my perspective on mental wellbeing. It reinforced how important compassion, mental health, and human connection truly are — and how much people need to feel supported, not judged.
I also became increasingly aware of how overwhelming and polarising the sleep space can be. So many parents are made to feel like they have to choose a “side” to follow a specific method, or risk getting it wrong.
But I don’t believe parenting should feel like that.
I believe every family deserves to feel supported in finding what works for them without pressure, without judgement, and without being told there is only one way.
When you work with me, you’ll experience a unique blend of empathy and expertise. My philosophy centers on understanding each family’s values and circumstances, allowing me to offer tailored solutions. I prioritize open communication, ensuring you feel supported every step of the way.
My methods incorporate gentle techniques that encourage self-soothing while respecting your family’s sleep dynamics. I understand the concerns of parents, especially those returning to work, and I’m dedicated to helping you establish routines that honor both your needs and those of your child. Together, we will create a peaceful sleep environment that nurtures your little one’s growth and your overall well-being.
